1. Who we are
Medicine Stop is a trading name of Clinical Care Ltd, the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the pharmacy. We are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (premises registration 1092130) and our Superintendent Pharmacist is Tarndeep Singh Vaid (GPhC 2202717).

2. What we collect
- Patient records when you receive a pharmacy service from us: name, date of birth, NHS number where applicable, GP details, medical history relevant to the service, and details of the medicines we supply.
- Booking information when you book an appointment online, handled by our booking partner Semble.
- Contact information when you call or email: phone number, email address and the content of your message.
- Limited website data such as your approximate location, device type and the pages you visit. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies in its current version.
3. Why we use your information
- To provide you with safe pharmacy care and dispense your medicines.
- To meet our legal duties under NHS contracts, medicines legislation and GPhC standards.
- To communicate with you about your appointments, prescriptions or queries.
- To prevent and detect fraud, and to keep our service safe.
4. Lawful basis
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:
- Legal obligation: for the records we are required to keep as a pharmacy.
- Provision of health or social care (Article 9(2)(h)): for clinical information.
- Legitimate interests: for safe operation of our website, fraud prevention and service improvement.
- Consent: for optional things such as marketing communications, if we offer them.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep pharmacy records in line with the NHS Records Management Code of Practice (usually 8 years for adults, longer for children). Non-clinical contact information is kept only as long as we need it.
6. Sharing your information
We only share your personal data where necessary, for example with:
- Your GP, NHS bodies and other healthcare professionals involved in your care.
- NHS Business Services Authority for prescription processing and payment.
- Our regulators (e.g. the General Pharmaceutical Council, MHRA, CQC where relevant).
- Service providers who help us operate (e.g. Semble for booking), under written contracts.
7. Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies needed to render pages and remember your preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this page and ask for your consent first.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Be told how your data is used and to access a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it.
- Object to processing or ask us to restrict it.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We may update this notice from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
